New Brunswick Police investigate Hub Liquors shooting
NEW BRUNSWICK- On Sunday, July 5, 2015 at approximately 7:15 pm officers responded to the area outside of Hub Liquors (123 French Street) to investigate a possible stabbing.
Upon the officer’s arrival they located two victims of slash wounds. The victims were identified as Carlos Ramirez, a 33 year old male from New Brunswick, who was slashed across his chest and Alphonso Lopez-Hernandez, a 33 year old male from New Brunswick, who was slashed across the abdomen.
Both individuals were treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the non-life threatening injuries.
Surveillance video from the area shows Ramirez and Lopez-Hernandez chasing a Hispanic male up French Street. As the unidentified male is being chased he turns on Ramirez and Lopez- Hernandez and slashed them with a knife. The unidentified male then continued to run up French Street towards Prospect Street.
The suspect is described as average build with black hair and wearing a tan t-shirt and jeans.
