Bubbakoo’s Burritos has opened up a new location on Easton Avenue last Thursday.
Rutgers University students say they are excited about the opening of Bubbakoo’s Burritos, because it offers a different kind of food than what is already available in the area.
Third year student Bri Buchicchio says there are multiple places that have the same kinds of food such as pizza, wings, and fat sandwiches, but not many places have burritos.
“I’m happy that there’s a Bubbakoo’s on Easton Avenue now because it’s not the typical kind of food you see here,” she said.
Other students say they love the food at Bubbakoo’s Burritos, but the price of their food doesn’t work with a college student’s budget.
Transfer student Katie Cooney says, “I know it’s expensive, but it’s so good. I’ll even pay extra for guacamole.”
An employee said that Bubbakoo’s Burritos doesn’t accept RU express now, but plan to eventually. Some students believe that when Bubbakoo’s Burritos does accept RU express it will help the problem of students struggling to pay for the pricy menu.
Second year student Toni Kutne says that she’d rather pay with RU express because her parents put money on it when she gets good grades.
“I know a lot of my friends have their parents do the same thing, so we would be much more willing to buy food from somewhere that takes RU express instead of cash,” Kutne said.
In the meantime, people of the New Brunswick area can now dive into a Bubbakoo’s burrito right in the heart of Hub City.
