The Oct. 4 accident that left a pedestrian critically injured last week remains under investigation.

The pedestrian, 20 year-old Timothy McDonnell, was crossing Easton Avenue at the corner of Mine Street, when an approaching vehicle struck him at approximately 2:16 am.

The 30 year-old driving the vehicle, Michael Schenck, was headed eastbound in his 2007 Audi four-door car when he struck McDonnell.

McDonnell, a Holmdel, native and Rutgers student, was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he was in critical condition after being hit by Schenck’s car.

“At this time, the accident is still under investigation and there is no more information available for release,” said Capt. J.T. Miller of the New Brunswick Police Department.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Officer Patrick Buckelew at 732-745-5200.
