New Brunswick Police Seek Suspect in Attempted Shooting

New Brunswick Police are investigating an attempted shooting that took place on Monday at approximately 3:10 p.m. at Pine Street Park in New Brunswick, according to an alert from the Rutgers University Police Department.

The suspect, whose name has not been released by RUPD,  has been identified and is charged with attempted aggravated assault.  A warrant has been issued for the suspect’s arrest. The victim did not sustain any injuries in the incident.

The victim told police the suspect attempted to shoot a firearm in his direction, said the police. The suspect was unsuccessful and drove his car toward the victim before fleeing the area. The incident was part of a dispute involving two individuals who are related to one another, police said.   No other information about was provided.
